James F. Keegan, Jr., President & CEO 

Jay joined Adams Keegan in May of 1997 and currently serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President of Sales. He was appointed to a four-year term on the Employee Leasing Advisory Board by the governor of Tennessee. He is a director of The James Group, LLC and Staff Line. Jay’s civic involvement includes membership in St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's Memphis Club, Director of the Navy League Memphis, and Leadership Memphis class of 2006. Jay holds a B.A. degree from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

George G. Early III, SVP & CFO

George joined the company in May of 2002 and currently serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. He previously served as Controller for Adams Keegan. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a director of The James Group, LLC. Prior to joining Adams Keegan, George was a senior staff accountant at Guardsmark, Inc. He also has experience in commercial lending and credit underwriting. George holds a B.S. degree from Washington and Lee University, Lexington, VA.

 

Marty B. Barton, SVP, General Counsel & Chief HR Officer

Marty has served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel for Adams Keegan since June 2000. Prior to joining Adams Keegan, Marty was awarded a highly competitive internship with the Tennessee Supreme Court. After completing this internship, he joined a prominent labor and employment law firm and began practicing law, primarily focusing on laws and statutes that impact the dynamic relationship between employer and employee. In this capacity, Marty was involved in advising, training, and litigating for a large range of clients, diverse not only in size but also in type of business. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate with B.S. degrees in Psychology and Biology and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Memphis. He is a member of the American, Tennessee, and Memphis Bar Associations.

Eugene L. Fidell, Jr., Regional President, Atlanta

Gene joined Adams Keegan in June of 1999 and serves as Regional President for the company's Atlanta region, which he established in August of 1999. With more than 20 years of PEO (Professional Employer Organization) and ASO (Administrative Services Organization) experience, he has served in a variety of management positions, including operations, marketing, sales, workers’ compensation underwriting, and risk management. He currently serves as a member of the Georgia Leadership Council of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO). Prior to joining Adams Keegan, Gene worked for Vincam Human Resources, Inc., where he received the President’s Club and Outstanding Achievement Awards for sales and leadership excellence. He also brings more than 20 years of domestic and international property/casualty experience, having served in various marketing and underwriting management positions with AIG, Fireman's Fund, and Cigna. Gene attended Widener University in Chester, PA.

Bob Frank, SVP & CIO

Bob Frank joined Adams Keegan in December of 2003. Bob is Adams Keegan’s Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer and has served in that capacity since 2007. He possesses more than 20 years’ experience in the IT field and has a diverse background in both consulting and corporate settings, with extensive experience in creative information systems and web development, research, instructional, and enterprise computing, as well as telecommunications. Bob is responsible for all facets of technology, including promoting the effective and efficient design and operation of major software and information systems, as well as designing and implementing IT resource management processes, strategies, applications, infrastructure, and support. Bob is responsible for a team of IT professionals who support proprietary software and HRIS creation and development, enterprise applications, enterprise data, research support, user support, infrastructure, communications, and information security.

Nicholas C. Adams, Vice President of Operations

Nic joined Adams Keegan in May of 2009 and currently serves as Vice President of Operations. He previously served as Business Development Manager and HR Operations Manager with the firm. Nic holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University.

Donna L. Gettings, Vice President of Quality

Donna joined Adams Keegan in October of 1997 and currently serves as Vice President of Quality. She previously served as Vice President of Operations. Donna has been a Certified Payroll Professional since 2006. She is the current Treasurer of the Memphis Chapter of the American Payroll Association, and is a Past President of the North Mississippi Chapter. She is a recipient of the Citation of Merit from the American Payroll Association and a Master Graduate of the New Memphis Institute's Leadership Development Intensive. Donna attended Delta State University.

Kelly Mercurio, Vice President of Client Relations

Kelly joined Adams Keegan in September of 2004 and currently serves as Vice President of Client Relations. She previously served as Client Service Manager, and has more than 15 years’ experience in account management, human resources, and benefits administration. She is a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the Arthritis Foundation. Kelly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Management with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from Georgia Southern University

Lynette Rochell, Vice President of Client Relations

Lynette joined Adams Keegan in June of 1995 and currently serves as Vice President of Client Relations. She previously served as Client Service Manager and Payroll Account Manager, and is a licensed life and health insurance agent. Lynette is a public safety diver, assisting local and regional agencies in water rescue and recovery operations. She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Memphis.

Kristin Lockhart, Vice President of Recruiting

Kristin joined the company in October of 2014, and previously served as Director of Recruiting services. Prior to Adams Keegan, she owned her own recruiting firm, through which she worked closely with Adams Keegan as a client.  She serves as an officer on the Board for the RISE Foundation. Kristin holds a B.A. degree from Christian Brothers University, Memphis, TN.

Trevor Benitone, Vice President of Business Development

Trevor joined the company in April of 2015 and currently serves as Vice President of Business Development.  He previously served as an MC-130H instructor pilot, staff officer and commander in the United States Air Force and United States Special Operations Command. He served as the Commandant of the United States Special Operations School during his last assignment prior to retiring from active duty in 2015 as a Colonel Select. Trevor holds a B.S. in Political Science from the United States Air Force Academy and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Alabama.

Charles Rodriguez, Vice President of Human Capital Management

Charles has served as a management advisor within the outsourced human resource services (HRO) industry since joining Adams Keegan in 2003, after working with the City of Minneapolis-Mayor’s Labor Relations Team. He holds a bachelor degree in management from University of Florida, and master of business administration from Auburn University.

Robert G. Adams, Director

Bob founded Adams Keegan in 1987 and currently serves as a Director of the company. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer (1987-2000), and Chairman of the Board of Directors (2003-2014). He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC), the industry's self-regulating accreditation organization, until 2013 and has served as a member of the ESAC Board since 1998. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO), the $92 billion industry’s national trade association, and served as Chairman of the NAPEO Board and Executive Committee. He also served as a member of the NAPEO Board (1996-1997 and 2006-2011), as well as serving two terms as President of the Mid-South regional chapter. As an industry pioneer, Bob has been active in the development and formalization of the PEO industry. He is the recipient of the Michaeline A. Doyle Award, the association’s highest honor. The award recognizes an individual who has provided exemplary leadership and service to the association, and whose philosophy encompasses raising industry standards, as well as those of his own company. Bob is a frequent presenter at industry events and is involved in regulatory and legislative issues on state and national levels. Bob holds a B.S. degree from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA.

 

L.R. Jalenak, Jr., Director

Mr. Jalenak has served as a Director for Adams Keegan since 1997 and as Chairman of the Compensation Committee. Mr. Jalenak retired on December 31, 1993 as Chairman and former President and CEO of Cleo, Inc., the world's largest manufacturer of Christmas wrap and accessory items. In addition, Mr. Jalenak is a retired board member of Perrigo Company, Lufkin Industries, Dyersburg Corporation, Charter Bancshares, First Funds, and Party City. He currently serves as a board member emeritus of Special Value Continuation Fund. He retired as a member of the Board of Commissioners of Memphis Light, Gas and Water and Chairman of its Pension Committee. Mr. Jalenak is also involved as a Director for ArtsMemphis and previously served on the Board of Directors of many local and national civic and religious organizations. Mr. Jalenak received his B.B.A. from Tulane University and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Jon K. Thompson, Director

Mr. Thompson is the owner of Columbine Holdings. He has served as a Director for the company since 1997 and is a member of the Compensation and Executive Committees. He was formerly the President of Taylor Machinery Company. He is a Director for Econotech, as well as a Director for the National Defense University Foundation and the Memphis Airport Authority. Mr. Thompson is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, and holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas.

 

Caldwell (Collie) D. Lowrance, Jr., Director

Mr. Lowrance is EVP of Business Development & General Counsel, as well as a Director of Floratine Biosciences, Inc. (FBS). Mr. Lowrance was Managing Director of Investment Banking and General Counsel for Wunderlich Securities. Prior to that, he was a partner at the Bass, Berry & Sims law firm. During his 15 years of practicing law and investment banking, Mr. Lowrance worked in various areas, such as mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, re-capitalizations, equity and debt financings (including venture capital and private equity fund financing, and private and public offerings), corporate and tax planning, and transaction negotiation and structuring. Mr. Lowrance holds a B.A. in Economics from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law, and an L.L.M. in Taxation from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Mr. Lowrance is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Arkansas. He served as a former Director for H20 Inc. and The Children’s Museum of Memphis

 

Brandon Garrott Morrison, Director

Ms. Morrison has served as a Director for Adams Keegan since 2010 and is on the Audit and Executive Committees. She serves as President of MBA Corp., a family office. Brandon's civic involvement includes past service on the Boards of the Vanderbilt Alumni Association and Monogram Foods, past Board Chair of St. Mary's Episcopal School, and current service as a Director of the Memphis Zoo, the Children's Foundation, the Second Presbyterian Church Foundation, and Dixon Gallery & Gardens, as well as a member of the Baptist Memorial Community Advisory Board. Brandon holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
