Adams Keegan ranks 14th in The Memphis Business Journal's Top 100 Private Companies list.

quote Human resources management firm Adams Keegan, Inc., marks its 20th year in business in 2007 and is headed into its anniversary with new opportunities.

Total revenue in 2006 grew 50.1% from 2005 to $301.7 million, enough to move the company from No. 21 to No. 14 on the Top 100 list. That growth was aided by Adams Keegan’s newest division, Staff Line, which saw year-overyear revenues increase from $8.5 million in 2005 to $20.4 million in 2006.

While Staff Line is a healthy income stream, Adams Keegan president and CEO Jay Keegan says the lion’s share of growth was in the company’s core HR outsourcing/payroll and benefits administration business, which has clients in 38 states.

“We are extremely excited about our core business and its potential for future growth,” Keegan says.

The company’s newest source of revenue is internally developed access control software. The software was originally developed by Adams Keegan to monitor the coming and going of Staff Line employees.

“Many of our clients have highly secure work environments and our solution dramatically separates us from our competition,” Keegan says.

The company is now evaluating starting a new subsidiary business to further develop and market the access control product.

The company has 74 employees with offices in Memphis and Atlanta. quote
